Greg Alsop is a versatile composer, drummer, and producer best known as a founding member of the acclaimed indie rock band Tokyo Police Club. Over the past two decades, Greg has built a dynamic career in music—touring internationally, performing at major festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza, and earning three Juno Award nominations. With six albums and nine Top 20 singles, his work with TPC has been recognized for its energy, creativity, and staying power.
Now based in Prince Edward Island, Greg works out of his home studio—affectionately dubbed Don’t Wake Baby Studio—where he focuses on songwriting and music production for television and artists. His recent credits include composing the main theme and several original songs for Pinecone & Pony (DreamWorks/First Generation Films), contributing tracks like “Cool as Ice Cub” and “Everyday Hero” for PJ Masks Power Heroes (Disney+), and writing “Checks and Balances” for Nickelodeon’s Emmy-winning series Well Versed, for which he was formally recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as a songwriter and producer.
In addition to his work in TV, Greg works one-on-one with artists and bands—both in-person and remotely—as a songwriter, producer, and mixer. Whether it’s polishing a demo, building a track from scratch, finding a creative partner to bring ideas to life, or adding the finishing touches to make a recording release-ready—through arrangement, additional production, live drums, or fresh perspective—Greg brings a focused versatility and collaborative energy backed by years of industry experience.
